Colourful impressionistic contemporary original painting. This is acrylic on canvas. A contemporary textured abstract impressionistic painting by Irish artist Chris Quinlan used in these palette knife paintings. This atmospheric  cherry blossom painting with couple walking through is depicted as a bright new prospective future ahead for all as these uncertain times begin to fade. Cherry blossom trees .

Inspired by the beautiful cherry blosson trees, Like many I personal do love these trees although never seen them the way I depicted them in this piece. As with all my  landscape paintings,  "Blossoming" was painted only referenced from my imagination and ideas as to how an avenue of these wonderful trees would look.

About This Style

Chris is painting a series of impressionism landscape oil paintings, in oils and acrylics. He uses his signature style as seen in the impressionistic landscape image above, with its texture, colors and abstraction. Although very time consuming, Chris finds this style of impressionism highly relaxing and enjoyable and cherishes the unique style and technique he established and nurtured since 1999. His original ideas and creations are referenced from the memories of his life and childhood. He then places each stroke loveingly and spontaneously onto the canvas using a palette Knife. The impressionism painting is initially roughly sketched using paint then generally blocked in before the final layers. his final effect is achieved by layering his paint strokes capturing light and colour. Chris hopes to include many more additions to his impressionism paintings gallery.
